Why can't I export audio or midi on my cubase sx3?

I have used cubase sx3 for sometime now but suddenly I can't seem to be able to export audio or midi files. After wetting the left and right markers to where they should be, I click save export audio mixdown and after every necessary setting, I click save and absolutely nothing happens. I am at a loss.

What do i do?

when you cant get it to run normally and all else fails, re-install it. that usually works.

It's weird. Sometimes it happens to me (in sx3 and C4) on mac. I usually get it to export after a second try though.
