I've been doing some recording for my friend today (using his computer), but for some reason when i've mixed down the files to a wav. file they will not play. it's as if there is nothing in the file just the file icon. i am very very confused as have not had this problem when converting and listening to stuff of my own. i have checked all settings and everything appears to be exactly the same as when i record for myself.
can anyone help???

Re: Cubase audio mixdown problems
Sat, October 13, 2007 - 1:54 PMyou are probably recording and mixing at 24bit or 32bit (which is a good thing).
but you need to make sure that the mixes you bounce are dithered down to 16bit or CD players and most software music players won't understand it.
load the Appogee UV-22 plug in (found in the 'other' folder) on the stereo master bus... this will accurately dither and prevent errors... then when you are in the window for audio bouncing, make sure that 44k 16bit wav is selected for the output file type.
